Energy efficient upgrades

MEP has undertaken the job of modernizing the school air quality and energy efficiency with an exhaust and energy recovery ventilation (ERV) system. Enhancing the air quality is vital for the safety and well-being of both the students and the teachers. To do this, our team installed an energy efficient ERV system to pull in fresh, clean air while expelling stagnant air. This system offers many benefits, including the ability to trap pollutants, viruses, pollen and allergens ensuring a healthier environment for everyone.

The installation of the ERV system completely transformed the comfort levels throughout the school while maintaining energy efficiency. Our efforts extended to upgrading the plumbing infrastructure across the entire building. Given the high demand in a busy school with numerous bathrooms, the existing plumbing system required enhancements to prevent potential issues in the upcoming school year.

After years of use, a thorough examination of the piping was conducted to identify and address potential concerns like clogs, leaks, water damage and corrosion that could lead to more costly repairs. Along with the infrastructure upgrades, improvements were made to the plumbing fixtures in all of the bathrooms. This included the installation antimicrobial toilet seats to reduce the spread of germs and low flow toilets to contribute to water conservation efforts. All of these changes play a pivotal role in fostering a safe, clean environment for children to learn and teachers to work.
