efficiency upgrades

MEP Services Group proudly collaborated with our client and subcontractors to construct the new health facility for a local not-for-profit organization dedicated to supporting adults within the community facing mental health and cognitive challenges. Their inspiring mission is to empower individuals to pursue meaningful change in their lives. Our involvement in this project encompassed essential upgrades, focusing on enhancing the HVAC system for improved energy efficiency and air quality, as well as the replacement of outdated plumbing and drainage systems.

To elevate the HVAC system, we opted for a VRF (Variable Refrigerant Flow) heat pump, replacing the conventional furnace and air conditioning system. This energy-efficient choice uses refrigerant to capture and repurpose existing heat from the environment, eliminating the need for burning fossil fuels. The VRF system adapts to varying temperature needs in different areas of the building, providing optimal heating or cooling. Complementing this, we installed all new duct and sheet metal to maximize efficiency and ensure the long-term durability of the system, contributing to substantial energy savings.

The plumbing and drainage systems were also upgraded to mitigate the risks for leaks, clogs, or corrosion that can lead to future issues like burst pipes or flooding. This upgrade offers the assurance that their plumbing system is working in peak condition, allowing them to focus on their core mission of helping the community.

Working on this project was a privilege for our team, given its association with a noble cause. This local organization’s community-focused initiatives positively impact individuals dealing with mental health, acquired brain injuries, and so much more. Projects of this nature offer an opportunity for MEP to contribute to the growth of amazing organization as they expand their services to reach more of our community.
